do we need a reservation?

Yes! You will not be able to access Rooftop Reds without one.

What is included in the $15 cover charge?

The $15 per person cover charge guarantees your spot in NYC’s only rooftop vineyard! It also includes a box of sustainably packaged water.

What is the refund policy?

We allow refunds if the request is made at least 72 hours prior to the event start time. If Rooftop Reds cancels an event due to inclement weather or other circumstances, guests will be fully refunded or given the option of a different date. 

Can we bring our own food?

No. We have a light fare menu available for purchase at the bar. The food menu is displayed on our website. Outside food is not permitted with the exception of Il Porto Pizzas which can be ordered from the rooftop.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

Absolutely not -- anyone caught bringing outside alcohol into Rooftop Reds will be escorted out by security immediately.

Can I book a private space for my gathering?

Yes! We would love to host you and your party for your special day. Visit our Private Events Page for more information and to inquire about booking a private area!

Is smoking permitted?

No, smoking is not permitted on the rooftop. You will need to go back down to the street outside the building if you wish to smoke.

Can I bring my kids?

We are strictly a 21+ venue. However, we do make an exception for infants up to 12 months old.

Can I bring my dog?

No, the Brooklyn Navy Yard does not allow dogs inside the industrial complex.

Can I use the freight elevator?

Guests are strictly forbidden from operating the freight elevator. If you or someone in your party is unable to climb the stairs, please inform us and a Rooftop Reds staff member will operate the elevator for your party. To arrange this ahead of time, please email events@rooftopreds.com.

What else can I explore in the Navy Yard?

You can’t. Rooftop Reds guests must come straight from the Sands St. Gate to Rooftop Reds and leave directly from Rooftop Reds through the Sands St. Gate. The Brooklyn Navy Yard is a controlled, industrial facility and any guests found loitering or exploring the yard will be banned from Rooftop Reds.
